CCM is proud to announce its commitment to helping safeguard and enhance the natural environment. We recognise that respect for the environment goes hand in hand with human well being and work excellence. In our industry, harmonious integration with nature and the wise use of natural resources are our goals. Where possible we seek to use materials that reflect our policy. We seek to promote this in two directives:
i) Good housekeeping: seeking to manage the office, works and where possible materials in ways to minimise deleterious environmental impacts and the use of natural resources. From switching off the light switch to cycling to work we believe that every little helps.
ii) Communications and education: to ensure that our environmental attitude, policies and practices are accurately perceived. By sharing our findings with our industry and promoting like minded companies as an example and incentive we believe more people will be encouraged to make a difference.
To implement these objectives, we will establish an “Environment Team" to co-ordinate and manage the project. The first task of this group will be to undertake an Environmental Review to assess our current environmental performance and to identify potential conservation measures.
It is CCM’s aim to achieve continual improvement in its environmental performance. Our goal is to enhance the ecological value and to ensure that our commitment to responsible environmental management is recognised in the wider community. We believe we can serve as a role model for environmental good practice in our industry.
